Bascom man convicted in drug case

A Jackson County jury deliberated a little more than an hour before convicting a Bascom man on drug charges Thursday.
Rodney Lasawn Dixon faces up to 10 years in prison, according to State Attorney Steve Meadows. Sentencing is set for Aug. 26.
Dixon, 20, was charged with possession of marijuana (more than 20 grams) and possession with intent to sell or deliver, with the offense occurring on March 12 of this year.
Dixon’s address is listed as 5362 Hummingbird Road.
