Chipley – Construction is scheduled to begin soon on US 90 between Marianna and Grand Ridge.
Workers from Anderson Columbia began erecting work zone signs Tuesday, May 6, to alert motorists of the upcoming work.
Within the next two weeks, crews will begin milling and resurfacing the roadway from the end of the four-lane near Hopkins Pontiac automobile dealership to the beginning of the four-lane in Grand Ridge.
Minor drainage improvements are included in this $4,284,453.36, 140-day project.
One-lane of traffic will be maintained during construction. Motorists are reminded to use caution to obey the posted speed limits; speeding violations double when workers are present.
