Two local men were arrested on drug charges early Wednesday morning.
Rodney Dixon, 20, of Bascom, and Marianna resident Mark Lucious, 29, were both charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
Lucious has additionally been charged with driving with a suspended license, according to Lt. Virgil Watson of the Marianna Police Department.
Watson said the men were arrested after a traffic stop on the car they were traveling in revealed a stash of marijuana.
Patrolman Lee Langley pulled the blue Ford SUV over on Eva Mae Street around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday for alleged careless driving, Watson said.
Lucious was behind the wheel, and the officer discovered his license was suspended.
That lead to a search of the vehicle, and marijuana was found in Ziplock-type bags inside a white grocery bag discovered in the rear passenger area of the vehicle.
Watson estimates that the bags contained approximately five ounces of marijuana, which has an estimated street value of $650.
A16-year-old juvenile traveling with them has been charged in the case, according to Watson, but his name was not released because of his age. He was released into the custody of his mother, Watson said.
