Trooper, semi collide in Washington County

A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper’s vehicle collided with a semi this morning on Interstate 10 near Chipley.

According to FHP Capt. David Tripp, Trooper Milton Brown was airlifted to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala., as a precautionary measure.
“It appears he suffered a broken arm and they’re still checking him to see if there are any other injuries,” said Tripp.

Brown is a trooper based in Washington Coutny, said Tripp.

No information has been released yet on the driver of the semi.

The accident occured at the 127-mile marker near Chipley between 7 and 7:30 a.m., according to FHP.
