It might be a good idea to bring the Mother’s Day festivities inside during the first half of the day.
“It looks like we’re in for some rough weather,” said Jackson County Emergency Management Director Rodney Andreasen.
Officials are predicting severe weather Sunday morning that could last through about 2 p.m.
“It’ll be here between 8 a.m and 2 p.m. The biggest threat will be straight-line winds between 60 to 70 miles per hour and a slight risk of isolated tornados,” said Andreasen.
Andreasen said that, as the morning heats up, the possibility of more severe weather will increase.
