This rather unhappy snapping turtle was spotted on the deck of the Old House Grill last week by a group of diners who were traveling upriver to the restaurant. After an examination by the staff and visitors at the restaurant discovered that the turtle seemed to be injured the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was contacted to pick him up to see if it was in need of treatment and rehabilitation. After it was determined that the turtle injury was in fact an old one that had already healed it the turtle was released back into the wild.
