Two late runs propel Graceville past Malone
Graceville broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 4-2 district win over Malone Friday night.
Graceville carried a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning before Malone tied it up with a two-run double by Blake Henson off of Stephen Burdeshaw, who came on in relief of starter Josh Taylor.
Marianna’s Gibson excited about All-Star appearance
Marianna basketball star Brandon Gibson will participate in the Florida Athletics Coaches Association North-South All-Star game in Daytona Saturday.
The 6-foot-6-inch Gibson, who averaged 19.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists for the Bulldogs last season, will join 11other players representing North Florida in the game.

Chipola men set record, look to playoffs
While the Marianna Bulldogs were across town battling to get into the final four of state championship tournament, the Chipola Indians were setting records on their court notching the most wins ever by a Chipola basketball men’s team with an 87-77 win over Gulf Coast.
MHS players depart in morning
The state-bound Marianna High School basketball team will depart for Lakeland at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the high school.
