Grand Ridge picks up 2 road wins in volleyball

The Grand Ridge Middle School volleyball team can’t escape victory, picking up two road wins yesterday against Walton Middle School.
The “B” team had to take it to three games to pick up the set, including overtime for the second game.
Game one was 25-17 with the Lady Indians falling 24-26 in game two before coming back to take game three 15-9 to seal the victory.
Leading the Lady Indians “B” team was Logan Neel with 11 service points and five aces, followed by Shelbi Bylar with 10 service points and one ace. Brandy Strickland had a two-two-two-night with two service points, two kills and two digs. On the board with seven service points and six aces was Jasmine Bowers. Dreanna Holden had five service points and one ace, with Ashley Rogers on the board with three service points and two aces.
The “A” team took just two games to sweep the set, with the first game a 25-21 victory and game two a 25-18 win.
Shanna McCaffree led the Lady Indians with eight service points, two aces and one kill. Alyssa Edwards was on the board with five service points, two aces and whopping 11 kills.
Jordan Jackson covered the court on both ends with three service points, one ace, two kills and one dig. Kristen Morris had five service points, one ace and one dig, followed by Emily Jones with five service points and three aces. Megan Myhill had one service point, two kills and one dig, with Christen Howell on the board with one service points.
