Rotary scored seven runs in the decisive sixth inning to take a 10-5 win over Farm Bureau Tuesday in MERE Dixie Majors action at Optimist Park.

Farm Bureau took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI double by Tristen Tharpe, but the advantage would be short-lived.

Heath Roberts tied the game with an RBI ground rule double to center field in the top of the sixth, then gave Rotary the lead when Tharpe, on in relief for Farm Bureau, was called for a balk, which allowed Roberts to come home from third.

Johnathan Mayes then stole second base and came all the way around to score when the throw to second escaped to the center field fence for a 6-4 lead.

Evan Wester made it 7-4 with an opposite field home run over the right center field fence.

After a pair of walks, Kody Bryan came up with a two-run triple down the first base line to make it 9-4 Rotary.

An RBI double by Madison Harrell rounded out the scoring to give Rotary a six-run edge.

Farm Bureau added a run in the bottom of the inning, but Harrell notched a strikeout with two runners on to end the game.

Harrell had two other big hits in the game, an RBI double in the third to score Xavier Lampley for the first Rotary run of the game, then an RBI single in the fifth to put Rotary up 3-2.

Farm Bureau took its first lead in the game in the third inning when Ryan Hewitt walked and scored on a wild pitch before Levi Cobb reached on an error and scored on a balk for a 2-1 lead.

Austin Nelson tied it back up at 2-2 with an RBI single in the fourth to score Bo Hughes.

Reid Long started the game on the mound for Farm Bureau and went five innings, while giving up three runs and striking out eight.
