Newspapers In Education is a program in which teachers use the newspaper as a textbook in the classroom.
The newspaper can be used to teach math, science, social studies, language arts, PE, art, statistics, economics - any subject. It can get used in every classroom at any grade level.

Q: How much does it cost to get involved in the NIE program?
A: The programs is provided at no charge to a limited number of classrooms each year through donations from local businesses as well as fundraisers.
Q: Do I have to receive the newspaper for the entire school year?
A: No. The NIE program is flexible. You may receive the paper for a month or for the entire school year. However, you must order a minimum of 12 to be delivered the same day.
Q: Is NIE for all grades?
A: Yes. The newspaper can be an effective tool for all grades, K-12. Newspapers cover a variety of subjects - from math and science to language arts and social studies.
Q: Where are the newspapers and teaching materials distributed?
A: Elementary, middle and high school in the area. Plus, some colleges, universities, vocational schools and adult education programs.
Q: What do I do if I don't get my papers?
A: Call the circulation department at (850) 526-3614 immediately if the papers are not there first thing in the morning.
